Oh My Stars ! My mother used to take my sister and I to Pizza-A-Go-Go on Grand by the old Sears building back in the '70s. We we're like 4 to 5 yrs old, & would be so amazed by the 'pizza toss'. We were so bummed when it closed. It's funny how I can still remember the taste of that pizza, & that I compare EVERYONE'S pizza to Pizza-A-Go-Go. HA HA !!!! I'm thrilled to know I can still get "som'o dat" pizza :-) .

I used to work there when Frank first moved to this spot. Talk about, the best boss in the world! Frank had high standards and exact recipes. I hope you are still following the plan. I'll be in soon. im 32 and when i was a kid my dad used to take me to pizza a go go on grand and id watch frank throw the dough in the air right when we walked in..best pizza i ever had! now they moved and his son does the cooking and it still awesome..thanks for the memories and good eats guys!! i cant wait to take my son here

Had the pizza for the first time since the 90's when my husband and I lived in the Tower Grove neighborhood off S. Grand. We thought the business was long gone and had really been missing the pizza. A student of my husband's at SLU told him it was still around had just moved.

Of course we were skeptical that it could be the same great pizza we remembered but picked up a pie last night and it was FANTASTIC. Just as great as we remembered. I'm so happy to find out some things don't change, we will be regulars again now that we have found your Scanlan location. We miss hearing the owner on the phone and watching him toss pizza dough in the air but his son is carrying on a great tradition. Please keep passing the secret along in the family and don't ever change!

I just sent my husband by Pizza A GO GO tonight on his way home from work because I had a HUGE craving for it! Of course, we forgot that you didn't take debit or credit cards and my husband had to go in search of an ATM... but ANYWAY... it was SO worth the trouble! We live in Jefferson County now so it's rare that I ever get it :-( The pizza is JUST the way I remembered though. I was a little afraid that since Frank isn't making the pizza anymore, it wouldn't be the same. I'm happy to report that Paul is every bit as good of a pizza chef as his father!

Just wanted you to know that I grew up eating Frank's pizza. My dad used to take my brothers and I to Pizza A Go Go on Grand Ave when we were so little. Dad and Frank were friends and it was quite a show to watch Frank toss that pizza dough in the air! He even let us try to do it and we just couldn't! lol I remember Frank had just come here from Italy and it was so hard to understand his broken English. In the 80's and 90's, Frank would bring his Lincoln by our shop (Akers Automotive) to be repaired and I so enjoyed talking with him.

As far as I'm concerned, there really is NO other pizza that can compare. I'm always disappointed when I eat someone else’s pizza, always expecting it to taste the same as LaFata's. I've tried several times to get Frank to tell me what his secret ingredients are and he didn't care to share! lol I don't blame him.

I'm just so happy that the family decided to carry on the tradition. Hopefully we'll have REAL pizza in St. Louis for many generations to come. Thanks Paul and family for doing such a fantastic job!

I am 49 and eating this pizza all of my life is one of my fondest memories. Then, when I was in grade school, I met and became friends with the Mazzamuto's. Eating pizza in their home, oh, memories. My children grew up eating Pizza-A-GO-GO. Sadly, we moved to St. Peters and we drive in to have this treat as often as possible. I took my husband on our first date to Pizza-A-Go-Go and now we have been together for 28 years. Our Oldest daughter's birthday is today and guess where she wants to have her dinner? We've had your pizza only once before but tonight we are taking friends with us. My husband is a really picky pizza expert...so he thinks but aside from that I consider myself a expert after all I was in the pizza business for over 32 years and I know a good pie when I eat one. The best crust; always cooked to perfection, and crunchy at the edge. The sausage is home-made and perfectly spiced. This is the best pizza in the metro St. Louis area. Great super hot, and amazing cold the next morning.

I found your place when I was attending a conference in the neighborhood. I thought could this be the pizza I loved years ago on Grand?? Glad I stopped in, and my family has been in several times since. We trek into the city from High Ridge just for your pizza. Pizza-A-Go-G0 is like taking a time machine back to flavor and atmosphere. Hmmm, just tried your pizza for the first time. Quite disappointed that mushrooms were not fresh. It didn't have tons of flavor to it, but was looking for a more mild pizza tonight, and that's what we got. Liked the texture of the crust - not a lot of flavor to it, but it didn't detract. Not close enough to home to (keep it hot) to do pickup again, but will try eating there and ordering something a bit tastier (sausage) next time.

Terrific Pizza!!!!! Some friends took us here after church one night. I am not a person that is a lot on pizza. Well all I am wanting now is your pizza it is awesome. We live about an hour away so while we was in the city yesterday we found your place but you were closed. We were so disappointed. Maybe we will try again this weekend. My uncle said he is gonna try you guys out as well. I told him that Imo's is my favorite pizza or was until we ate here. Imo's is his favorite as well so he wants to come and give you a try.

Pizza-A-Go-Go is by far the best pizza in St. Louis. Freshest and most unique taste in the entire City and surrounding areas.

Plus, you can bring your own booze ... still yet to find another pizza place that allows that. No appetizers needed ... a true pizza parlor in every way. Eat and be happy!

I've been eating Pizza Go Go since it was in the Arcade Building on Grand in the '60s ('64?) and it has ALWAYS been the best. When you moved and the new faces showed up I was a little concerned but when I saw Franks organ in the corner and saw the Maralyn Monroe posters and Franks bike racing pics in that cozy new home on Scanlan- I was a little less worried... but tasting that pie laid ALL concern to rest- it was then and is still PERFECT! Good to see his family is keeping up such a grand tradition- y'all do your papa proud!

The only thing I'll miss is dialing the number and hearing Frank say in his thick accent- "Pizza Oggo- whatchu want- twenty minutes." Six words were never so comforting...

I had my 50th Birthday Dinner at the new place- awesome! Thanks!

My roommate and I found your pizza place a couple months ago. We think it's wonderful! I used to make pizza from scratch and your crust is very similar and very good! I am also very excited that you use canned mushrooms - they are great on pizza.

I've been eating at Pizza A Go Go since the opening of the South Grand location in '60s. Now live in Ballwin and unfortunately can get here as often. This is simply the best pizza around. Perfect crust. Relatively thin, but slightly crunchy. You will not leave this crust on the plate.
